ALBA Medical is the largest and most trusted Veterinary Holter Monitoring Company in the world. Our veterinary division has served customers in every state of the United States as well as in more than 40 countries around the globe. Our customers expect accurate, fast (24-hour) service, as well as helpful, knowledgeable support in every aspect of Holter testing for their dogs.
We sell Canine Holter Monitors and all the supplies and accessories needed including Canine Holter Vests. After monitoring your dog we also provide reading and interpretation services for both cassette and digital Holter Monitors.
This is our basic service option for Veterinarians. It is also the common choice for Breeders who are looking for an accurate PVC screening of their dogs. When we receive your cassettes or digital scans, our certified Technicians will carefully scan them at once and generate a Hospital quality report, complete with a clear PVC summary added to the cover page. This is a manual scan, not a computer generated scan. The complete report will be sent to you via E-mail. Our fee for this service is $30.00 per scan for digital studies and $40.00 for cassette studies. This fee assumes that the customer provides their own Holter monitor and Hook-up kit (battery, cassette, electrodes).
Canine Service Type II
This is a more in-depth service for customers who want a Cardiologist overview of their study. The cassette or digital scan is processed as in the "Service Type I". The final report is then sent to our Cardiologist instead of directly to you. The Cardiologist will then send a report to you. This is an option typically used for customers who want more of a health screening other than for breeding. Our fee for this service is $80.00 per scan for digital studies and $90.00 per scan for cassette studies. This fee also assumes the customer provides their own Holter and supplies.
Canine Service Type III
This is the service option for customers seeking to submit their Holter report to OFA. OFA requires that the forms be filled out by a Veterinary Cardiologist. The Holter study is scanned by the technician (as in Service Type I), and then the report is sent to the Cardiologist. The Cardiologist will interpret the report (as in Service Type II). A Service Type III Request Form should be completed and sent to ALBA Medical via FAX to 609-239-2970 or scanned and emailed to email@example.com. The Cardiologist will then fill out the necessary forms and submit them to OFA. The total fee for this service is $120.00 for digital studies and $130.00 per scan for cassette studies.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Every Holter Monitor report provided by ALBA Medical is a manually scanned, full service report. Our canine scanning technicians are certified veterinary-specific EKG technicians with over 15 and 30 years experience in scanning Holter Monitors, and are under the supervision of a Board Certified Veterinary Cardiologist. Our technicians spend up to 1 hour visually scanning the ECG, and accurately generating a final report.
All studies analyzed by ALBA Medical include:
Heart Rate Analysis
All Holters sent in by Breeders, Vets and Cardiologists are all read the same, and have all of the analysis features.
PLEASE NOTE: The fee for cassette scanning was raised to $40.00 starting in 2015.
